Education in MUD*

At MUD*, education plays a central role in our mission. As a museum, we recognize our significant educational potential and aim to reach broad audiences. Over the past two years, we have successfully expanded our network of partner schools and strengthened existing collaborations, resulting in an increasing number of children and students participating in our educational programs. Our programs also extend to adults and seniors, making the museum accessible through diverse activities including intergenerational workshops, evening creative courses for adults, and special projects

MUD Educational Programs for Schools*

We offer educational programs for all educational levels – kindergarten, primary, secondary, and university. Programs are age-appropriate and designed to align with educational framework programs for each school type. Throughout the year, we conduct gallery educational programs for school groups, focusing on current exhibitions and including interactive guided tours and reflective creative activities.

Programs for Kindergarten and Primary School (Years 1–5) – These programs focus on experiential creation, aiming to taste art through all senses in a playful and reflective way.

Programs for Primary School (Years 6–9) and Secondary School – These programs focus on interpreting and understanding visual messages, comprehending historical and social contexts reflected in art, and developing critical thinking skills. They take the form of interactive guided exhibition tours with reflective creative activities.

For universities, we primarily offer guided exhibition tours, building tours, courtyard visits, combined with presenting our institution (museum operations, programming, broader context, mission…).

The second line consists of year-round programs that schools can book anytime, focusing on introducing MUD*, gallery and museum environment, and Benešov's urbanism.

At MUD*, we respond to teachers' suggestions and fully implement project days as an educational format, which we will continue and develop further next year.
